eTHOS

It’s been a joy and a privilege to work on so many beautiful weddings over the years. Making the decision in 2016 to become a florist specialising in floral wedding styling in Norfolk was a straightforward decision.  I'm so enthusiastic about each and every wedding I'm presented with, even after 18 years of honing in my skills this has remained undiminished. I work closely with each couple so I can master their brief but also help them with ideas, making their flowers so very special and personal. Im always seeking inspiration and never allow myself to become complacent, attention to detail is an essential cog that brings everything together harmoniously.

Sustainable floristry practises is at the heart of what I do, I use as many locally grown seasonal flowers where possible and advocate the use of natural, foam free mechanics.

I believe exquisite florals bring life and vibrancy to your wedding, weaving a tapestry of your personalities and love story through the beauty of flowers.

STYLE

Natural beauty and working with seasonal flowers is where my heart lies. Bracken and Twine's style is very romantic and informal, creating swoon worthy, airy designs that captivate onlookers. A just gathered, unstructured style that is becoming Bracken and Twine's signature look. A well considered use of texture and form is a great base in which I create a design, whether it be picked from the garden, foraged or sourced from British and Dutch suppliers. I am particularly interested in how an exquisite colour palette can enhance a theme to its fullest potential. I can tailor to most themes; may it be romantic with soft hues and bewildering blousy Roses or a minimalistic, naturally textured display with a contemporary twist. I’m happy to perfect your style brief so it reflects your vision; considering you, your personality, your likes and dislikes.

Frequently asked questions

Where is Bracken and Twine Flowers based?

My workroom room is situated in Old Catton, Norwich, Norfolk. I work from home and I have a lovely studio where I get creative with your wedding flowers.

When is the best time to arrange a consultation?

Depending on what my work and family commitments are, my usual availability for consultations are

Monday - Wednesday

9.30am -1.30pm and from 6.45pm.

As much as it is lovely to meet in person. Going forward I have decided to continue doing video and phone call consultations only. Mainly to prevent the spread of the coronavirus but also this method is an easy way to schedule in our meetings.

Looking at the bigger picture clients usually get in touch a year in advance. I only take on one wedding per week so it is important to get in touch as soon as possible to save disappointment. If I am already booked then I will give you a suitable and trustworthy recommendation.

How does a wedding consultation work?

I love meeting new couples and I'm in my element talking about flowers! They are a chance to talk through ideas, styles, colours and seasonal availability. If you would like a little help with inspiration I'm here to help you with creative ideas. Once I've got an idea of your floral vision I will promptly get a first draft quotation out to you via email.

How do we proceed with a booking?

If you're happy with the first draft quote you have received, I ask for a £400 booking fee to secure your wedding date with us (this is deducted from the final balance). From there I will then refine your quotation adding more detail and a beautiful bespoke moodboard. You may also wish to arrange another meeting with me again if needed. Nothing is set in stone, so if you wish to discuss further ideas or make amendments then your quote can easily be adapted.

how Many Weddings do you commit to per week?

I commit to just one wedding per week. I think its important to dedicate whole heartedly to your wedding, this exclusivity allows us to take great care in making the details perfect without any distractions or compromises.

I also cap the amount of weddings I do in an entire year to 20.

Do you have a minimum spend?

Minimum spend is £2200. We have a minimum spend because we logistically can only take on one wedding per week no matter the size.

How does Delivery/Set up work?

Leading up to the wedding a time frame will be discussed, dependent on the scale of styling we usually aim to deliver 2-3 hours before hand. For ceremonies we like to promptly set up and be cleared away in plenty of time before guests arrive.

Do you charge for delivery or installatioN?

To cover the costs of travel we do charge a delivery fee. How much this will be will depend on distance and will be quoted on an individual basis.

Depending on the scale and quantity of your floral requirements, sometimes we need additional assistance from trustworthy and experienced freelance florists. To cover this an extra Service charge could be added to your quotation. We can only provide you with an estimated cost until you have confirmed your floral requirements, from which we will be able to establish the exact additional assistance required.

When is final payment due?

I like to have concrete decisions finalised no later than 2 months before the wedding. Final payment is due 3 weeks before the wedding. If you wish to pay in instalments leading up to this time this may also be discussed.

WOULD we BE ABLE TO MAKE SOME of ouR OWN FLORAL DISPLAYs?

Encouraging others with their floral creativity is something we’ve always been passionate about. However, at a wedding this can lead to issues with credibility and reputation so we would prefer to oversee all of the floral aspects.

We don’t live in Norfolk but we are getting married there, whats the easiest way to proceed with an Enquiry?

In recent years Norfolk has become a popular destination to get married. In fact, I would say that around 50% of my couples live outside of Norfolk. With the wonders of technology we can easily set up a video or telephone meeting.
